I accept the same trouble for years.
Never figured out how to prepare information technology.
I go along my PC on slumber instead of turning it off so I reduce amount of times I have to type in my password and guard code.

I don't take that checked but Steam is withal not saving credentials.

Using just 1 account and still doesn't save?

I'chiliad using multiple accounts on ane PC and my blood brother uses his account on that PC.

Just when I log in with my account and cheque Recall My Password, it should automatically log me in with that account on next kick?

In my case when Steam starts it asks me to log in over again like if I haven't checked Remember My Password.

ane. Log in with it checked in the login screen.

2. Uncheck in the settings.

iii. Log out.

4. Log back in.

Now test it by logging out and back in.

I tried this:
-Bank check on login screen and uncheck in settings
-Log out, log back in
-Log out and log dorsum in ane more than time
-Check in the settings
-Log out and log back in
-Log out and log dorsum in again

Every unmarried time I had to retype my countersign and enter guard code
It remembers my username on login screen, but I accept to type countersign and baby-sit code every fourth dimension.
And information technology's non just after rebooting PC. Just exiting Steam and launching it again logs me out.

I had the same result a while ago, make sure that the service inside Services called "Credential Manager" is running, i set the startup on this to Automatic rather than Transmission.

One other thing to also check, become into registry and browse to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam

and bank check that the value for the DWORD key: RememberPassword is gear up to the number 1

In my case when Steam starts it asks me to log in once more similar if I haven't checked Call up My Password.

Merely to spell it out explicitly, are you running multiple OS accounts?

Do you hateful Windows user accounts?
I accept only ane user account per Windows.

Bad idea. Not only volition information technology lead to exactly this situation, namely you having to log in considering your brother logged in previously y'all're also opening yourself to issues. If your brother cheats, your Steam account will get downwardly. And should he decide to install malware, your email and, well, everything is endangered. Run TWO Split up accounts, ane per person. That should aid wth the Steam login "upshot" besides. Also, only 1 of those accounts should have administrative privileges. Ideally for you, yours.

I don't call up that y'all understood me.
I take ii separate Windows OSes on 2 different partitions.
And I have 1 Windows user account per windows (I haven't added any User Accounts in Control Panel)
My brother and I have split Steam accounts.

But that doesn't thing because even when but I use the PC and check "remember my countersign" on Steam, it doesn't remember it adjacent time I start Steam.
It doesn't work on get-go Windows and it doesn't piece of work on second Windows.
But it does work on Ubuntu.

Maybe there'south bug in Steam Customer for Windows?
Even when I freshly installed Windows, before I modified any settings, Steam couldn't recall my password.

You haven't make it clear whether you share an business relationship or not. Let's assume you don't.
Theres no such issues, not a general one. If there was, the forum would be total with complaints because everybody would exist afflicted. Exercise you run the same Steam install from both OS'? That may cause odd effects well. Suggestion: Cleanly install Steam, don't share the binder and see what happens.

I have cleanly installed Steam one i Os, and symlinked the whole Steam folder on another Os.
Steam won't remember password on whatsoever of them.
It couldn't even remember it while I had split installations on both of them.

As I was saying (emphasis added)

Setting the Credential Manager service to automatic worked for me.
